What do Kitchen Aid mixers and American Idol have in common??

What does American Idol and Kitchen Aid mixers have in common???

I love them both, they make me happy, and they both sing.

Kitchen Aid Mixer don't sing you say?  Well, when Paul came walking in the door with a big box last Sunday afternoon and I pulled a Kitchen Aid mixer out of that box, I am positive I heard the Hallelujah Chorus.... loud and clear.

Do you know how many years I have salivated over that machine??  Do you know how many times I have walked next door and lugged my neighbors Kitchen Aid mixer over here?

Do you know that I used to make dinner for 25 college students every Friday night for a YEAR without a Kitchen Aid mixer?  How did I survive??

In all seriousness, I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am about that beautiful black beauty.

Speaking of Black Beauty, when Gracie was about 4, we went to the library and got some movies.  Later that night, when we asked the kids which one they wanted to watch, Gracie yelled out, "Black Bootie, Black Bootie!!"

Do you know how much fun we have had with that?  We are sick!  Sick, sick, sick!!

ANYWAY, all that to say, I am SOOO excited about my black bootie... I mean.... black beauty.  My beautiful black kitchen aid mixer

I love mine, too!

Have you ever read the blog called Stuff Christians Like? He has a funny post about Booty God Booty that makes me laugh every time. This post reminded me of it. LOL - does your daughter get the "joke" that she started so innocently?! :)

There is not a cooking utensil, gadget or electronic on this planet that could make me sing... Unless of course it has 2 arms, 2 legs and will do all my grocery shopping & cooking!!

But I'm happy that you're happy!!

Oh, I was so excited when I got mine. It helps me make so much baby food! I kinda had to not make it my "idol" and walk by and worship it or bask in its glory...so there, it has something to do with American Idol at my house too...both idols (although to be honest I only watch the goofy try-outs for American Idol and not the rest of the season)

I am GREEN WITH ENVY!!! Having a Kitchen Aid Mixer would fight for the position of my 5th child against my Nikon camera. A girl can dream... and you have given me hope that maybe one day my dream can come true!!!

Congrats on your new baby! I love mine, but I go in spurts of using it and not using it... I'm in a dry spell right now...

Your husband did a great job tonight (we were visiting Apex) Funny thing is, we were on our way to Southbrook but Mapquest gave us the OLD address and by the time we would have got turned around we would have missed the worship so we went on to Apex instead. We'll probably be at Southbrook next week.)

No wonder we are friend's You listed almost all the same movies and books that I would list and I have a huge, huge crush on Bob of the Biggest loser. I wonder if he'd be interested in coming to Ohio? I am single April, so I get first dibs. Anyway, just wanted to tell you how great it was to be with you all at church and here Paul preach. Can he please just start his own church or could the two of you finish raising my oldest two? Magalie always says,"the Isaacs are my favorite family."Seriously, she could clean for you for room, board. and spiritual influence! Does that sound doable? We do love the Isaacs and wish we lived next door. Glad I found your blog again.
Love, Donna
